Schuster makes national baseball team

LIVONIA — Livonia junior Scott Schuster has been named to participate in the prestigious Baseball Factory National All-Star Tournament, which will take place July 7-13 in Cape Cod.

Schuster was selected after a try-out that was held last week in Troy.

Only 30 kids were selected nationally to the team, which will play several games.

This past season, Schuster, who led off, swiped a team-best 22 stolen bases for the Bulldogs, who finished 13-12.

To find out more about the tournament you can contact the website at www.baseballfactory.com.

The cost for the week-long tournament is $3,700, and a fundraiser is being put together to help offset any costs for the trip. To make a donation you can send a check or money order to Kevin Schuster, PO Box 425, Livonia, NY, 14487.
