Livonia All-Star baseball team wins

MENDON — This Livonia U10 all-star baseball team has been on fire.
Livonia improved to 6-1 at the Mendon Tournament as they defeated Canandaigua 14-2 last Sunday in the tournament quarterfinals.

The game was called by the ‘Mercy Rule’ after four innings.
Brody Metcalf pitched the first three innings not allowing any hits with five K’s and two walks. Maddux Minton pitched the fourth and allowed two runs on two hits with two K’s.

Livonia had a huge offensive outburst in this one.

Brody Metcalf hit his second over-the-fence homerun in the tournament with a three-run shot in the third. Metcalf scored three runs and had three RBI.

Reid VanScoter had two hits, scored three runs and had three RBI while Maddux Minton had two hits and scored three runs. Jared Canute had a big two-run single that highlighted a five run first for Livonia. John Smith was 1-2 with a walk and two runs scored while Billy McDevitt, Ronald Loomis, Adam Abrey and Kyle Feldman all had hard hits for Livonia.
