Bath laxers sweep Livonia
BATH — Host Bath (8-1) scored four goals in the first period and two more in the second as they built a 6-3 lead and held on for the 9-8 victory over Livonia (5-4) last Saturday in GRALL action.
The victory gave the Rams the season sweep over the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs, who were riding high after their victory over McQuaid earlier in the week, had difficulties in their second league loss to the Rams.
“Unfortunately, the things we did in our last League game did not carry over to today’s game,” said Livonia coach Brett Wood. “On the bright side it was certainly a big improvement as compared to the last time we played.”
Bath won 15-7 April 12 in Livonia.
Kyle Harrison led Bath with three goals and one assist while Zach Reed scored two goals and dished out two more. Nick Rossi scored two goals and had one assist while Drew Wager scored twice.
Andrew Clark recorded 17 saves for Bath.
Sophomore Derek Bishopp led Livonia with a career-high five goals.
Junior Wyatt Struble added one goal and two assists while senior Steven Diener dished out two assists for the orange and blue.
Ethan Jamison had 16 saves for the Bulldogs.
