Updated: Murder/suicide in Mt. Morris

The New York State Police and Mount Morris Police Department are investigating a murder suicide on Glenn Morris Avenue. YNN reports that police were notified of the incident at around 1:30 PM on Monday, Memorial Day. A relative discovered the bodies of a husband and wife and called police. It is suspected that James Layland, 48, shot his wife, Mary, 47, before committing suicide. The investigation is ongoing.
