Minor injuries in school bus accident
A Conesus man suffered minor injuries following a collision between his car and a Livonia school bus near Lakeville Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, bus driver Christine Galitzdorfer entered the intersection of Stone Hill Road and Bronson Hill Road. She told police she did not see an approaching car driven by William W. Henry Jr., 56, of Conesus.
Galitzdorfer and a student passenger were not injured, but the bus sustained significant and had to be towed from the scene. Henry was treated and released, but his car was extensively damaged.
Lakeville Fire Department and Fire Police were on scene to assist Sheriff’s Deputies, as well as the Livonia Ambulance and medics. Deputies Martin Herkimer, William Cartwright and Michael Williams handled the investigation, with Investigator Thomas Doughtery and Sgt. Michael Doughtery assisting.
