Arrests and courts, April 5 edition
The following are brief listings that appeared on the Record page of the Livingston County News April 5. Unless otherwise noted, people listed here are innocent until proven guilty.
Arrests
Hit and Run
Theresa Andrews, 42, of Leicester March 31 by Geneseo PD for Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident and Operating without an Ignition Interlock Device. Allegedly, Andrews was involved in a hit and run accident, left the scene, and was driving a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device. Andrews is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on April 17.
Domestic violence
Lester Brown, 31, of Geneseo was arrested March 26 by Geneseo PD for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, and Harassment II°. Allegedly, Brown engaged in an altercation with his wife and tried to strangle her and kick her, while in the presence of her four year old daughter. Brown was arraigned in front of Geneseo Justice Bradley Janson. Jason released Brown to appear at a later court date. An order of protection was issued against Brown to stay away from the victim.
Burglary
Edward J. W. Bell, 17, and Joshua M. Jason, 17, both of Conesus, were charged with Burglary II° and Petit Larceny on March 24 by LCSO. Following arraignment in Conesus Town Court, Bell and Jason were remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail and will return to Conesus Town Court.
Drugs
Luis A. Santos, 42, of Rochester was arrested March by LCSO for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance III° and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle I°. Following arraignment, Santos was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on no bail. Santos will address charges in Avon Town Court.
Dennis W. O’Sullivan, 49, of Caledonia was charged with Unlicensed Growing of Cannabis and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana on March 23 by LCSO. O’Sullivan will answer charges in Caledonia Town Court.
Ashley M. Shackelford, 30, of Lockport was arrested by LCSO for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII° and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana on March 26. Shackelford will appear in Avon Town Court.
Cynthia Mack, 45, arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance VII° and unlawful possession of marihuana, March 16 by Avon PD.
Drunk driving
Richard J. Carey, 49, of Dansville was arrested March 24 by LCSO for Driving While Intoxicated, Blood Alcohol Content .08 percent or Greater, Crossing Road Hazard Markings and Unsafe Lane Change. Carey will address charges in Geneseo Town Court.
William H. Bergmann, 20, of Williamsville was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Blood Alcohol Content .18 percent or Greater, Crossing Road Hazard Markings, Unsafe Lane Change and Failure To Keep Right on March 24 by LCSO. Bergmann will report to York Town Court to answer charges.
Brian L. Canute, 36, of Wayland was charged March 25 by LCSO with Driving While Intoxicated. Failure To Keep Right and Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent. Canute will addresss charges in Springwater Town Court on a later date.
Timothy Canfield, 23, arrested for aggravated DWI: Per Se BAC.18 of one percent or more alcohol in blood-no priors, driving while intoxicated-first offense, failed to use designated lane, failed to stop at stop sign, and speeding, March 14 by Dansville PD.
On April 2, State Trooper Mark Miller stopped a vehicle on Route 5 in the town of Caledonia for speeding. Upon interviewing the operator, Amy S. Donoghue, 44, of Le Roy, Miller determined she she had been drinking. She subsequently failed her field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. She was transported to SP Geneseo where she registered a .14 percent BAC. She is due to return to the town of Caledonia court on April 16.
On March 29, State Trooper Jon White stopped a vehicle on Route 20A in the Town of Livonia for speeding. Upon interviewing the operator, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from the driver. The operator, Robert E. Roberts, 65, of Lakeville performed standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was arrested for DWI and transported to SP Geneseo for processing where he registered a .11 percent blood alcohol content. He was issued tickets for speeding and DWI which are returnable to the town of Livonia court on May 1.
License and registration
Derrick Bowick, 25, of Geneseo, was arrested March 27 by Geneseo PD for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation III° and Unlicensed Operation. Allegedly, Bowick was driving with a revoked drivers’ license, and has had two prior arrests for the same charges and has not resolved them. Bowick was arraigned in front of Geneseo Justice Bradley Janson and released.
Rebecca Post, 22, of Perry for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation II°, Driving with a Suspended Registration, Unlicensed Operation, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Driving without Insurance April 1 by Geneseo PD. Post is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on April 17.
Bioleta Calderon, 40 of Rochester was issued tickets by Caledonia PD for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation II°. and Speeding 45 MPH in 30 MPH zone. Calderon will return to court in Caledonia at a later date.
Christina Rumfola, 27, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle III° March 18 by Avon PD.
Michael Mack, 26, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle III°, operating motor vehicle without stop lamps, March 16 by Avon PD.
Erryn Selover, 42, arrested for equipment violation: exhaust system, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle-III°, March 17 by Caledonia PD.
Alan Albany, 29, arrested for license plate missing/displayed improperly, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle III°, unlawful possession of marihuana, March 17 by Caledonia PD.
Cody Finley, 22, arrested for speeding, no license, and unlawful possession of marihuana, March 21 by Caledonia PD.
Jason White, 34, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle III°, equipment violation: exhaust system, March 16 by Dansville PD.
Adam Towner, 26 ,arrested for false personation, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle III°, motor vehicle license violation: no license, failure to change address on license, March 6 by Dansville PD.
James Scarborough, 20, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle III°, motor vehicle license violation: no license, no seat belt-driver, March 17 by Dansville PD.
Charles Bozzette, 29, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation II°: three/more open suspensions-three/more separate dates, operating a motor vehicle without inspection certificate, motor vehicle license violation: no license, March 6 by Dansville PD.
Alan Freeh, 50, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle III°, log book violations, failed to use headlights with windshield wipers, March 21 by Mount Morris PD.
Naomi Young, 55, arrested for motor vehicle violation: registration suspended, March 21 by Mount Morris PD.
Pierro Gesner, 58, arrested for motor vehicle license violation: no license, aggravated unlicensed operation II°: three/more open suspensions-three/more separate dates, March 21 by Mount Morris PD.
Nathan May, Jr., 29, arrested for failure to obey traffic control device, operating a motor vehicle without inspection certificate, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle-III°, March 21 by Mount Morris PD.
Alan Matthews, Jr., 36, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle-III°, motor vehicle license violation: no license, operate motor vehicle on public highway while using mobile phone, March 20 by Mount Morris PD.
Joselito Rodriguez, 18, arrested for motor vehicle license violation: no license, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle-III° March 19 by Mount Morris PD.
Other charges
Fransisco Garcia-Albino, 23, of Perry was arrested March 21 by LCSO for Offering a False Instrument for Filing. Garcia-Albino will appear in Geneseo Village Court.
Michael C. McLaughlin, 32, Livonia was arrested March 22 for Criminal Mischief IV° by LCSO. McLaughlin will appear in Lima Town Court.
Cody A. Farrell, 22, of Wayland was was charged with Trespassing and Petit Larceny on March 22 by LCSO. Farrell will report to Springwater Town Court.
Jason S. Brown, 25, Dansville was arrested March 23 by LCSO for Petit Larceny. Brown will appear in Sparta Town Court.
Patrick Brothers, 18, of Groveland Station was arrested March 27 by geneseo PD for three counts of Petit Larceny. Allegedly, Brothers stole over $130 worth of merchandise. Brothers is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on April 10.
Erin Ippolito, 19, of Geneseo was arrested March 28 by Geneseo PD on a Probation Warrant for the Sheriff’s Office. Allegedly, Ippolito failed to appear for a court appearance. She was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office for arraignment.
Sadie Vrooman, 19, of Portageville was arrested March 29 by Geneseo PD for Petit Larceny. Allegedly, Vrooman stole a check and cashed the check in Castile. She is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on May 1. The Geneseo Police Department was assisted by the New York State Police in this investigation. Vrooman was also arrested for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and Criminal Impersonation by the New York State Police.
Olivia Heck, 24, of Livonia was arrested March 30 by Geneseo PD for Petit Larceny. Allegedly, Heck used a stolen credit card. Heck is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on May 1.
Edward E. Ames, 68 of Le Roy was arrested by Caledonia PD for Reckless Endangerment 2nd and Disorderly Conduct for an incident that occured on Main St in Caledonia.
Melissa Preen, 20, charged with petit larceny, March 20 by Mount Morris PD.
In court
After presentation by Eric R. Schiener, Assistant District Attorney, the following cases were handled in the Livingston County Court before the Honorable Robert B. Wiggins on March 27.
DALE R. CARSON, 56, of Leicester was sentenced to 40 days incarceration in the Livingston County Jail and five years probation as a result of a prior plea of guilty to Criminal Contempt I°, a Class E Felony. He was also ordered to pay surcharges, crime victim fees, and an eight-year Order of Protection was issued for the victim.
A YOUTHFUL OFFENDER was found to be in violation of probation and he will be sentenced on May 8.
SUSANNE M. HENZEL, 38, of Honeoye Falls was sentenced to continue probation with 500 hours community service as a result of a prior admission to a violation of probation.
JUSTIN M. BUZARD, 20, of Springwater entered a plea of guilty to Attempted Burglary III°, a Class E Felony; and the matter was adjourned to May 8 for sentencing. He was remanded to the Livingston County Jail without bail.
JIMMIE J. LANE, 22, of Wayland was charged with Burglary III°, a Class D Felony; and Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor. He was also charged with Burglary III°, a Class D Felony; Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor; and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor in a separate incident. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned further proceedings. Bail was continued at $20,000.

MICHAEL D. PRAGLE, 24, of Wayland was charged with Burglary III°, a Class D Felony; Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor; and Criminal Mischief IV°, a Class A Misdemeanor. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to May 22 further proceedings. Bail was continued at $20,000.
After presentation by Victor D. Rowcliffe, Assistant District Attorney, the following cases were handled in the Livingston County Court before the Honorable Dennis S. Cohen on March 29.
MICHAEL A. LITTLE, age 30, of Rochester was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property IV°, a Class E Felony; and Forgery II°, a Class D Felony. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to May 17 for further proceedings. Bail was continued at $20,000.
CATHERINE L. CHIANFONI, 19, of Rochester was sentenced to four months intermittent incarceration in the Livingston County Jail and three years probation as a result of a prior plea of guilty to Promoting Prison Contraband II°, a Class A Misdemeanor.
LIONEL K. MCLAUGHLIN, 48, of Avon was sentenced to a term of one and one-half to three years incarceration in a state correctional facility as a result of a prior plea of guilty to Attempted Promoting Prison Contraband I°, a Class E Felony; and an admission to a Violation of Probation. He was also ordered to pay surcharges.
LISA A ROMANO, 40, of Wayland was sentenced to six months incarceration in the Livingston County Jail and five years probation as a result of a prior plea of guilty to Attempted Burglary II°, a Class D Felony. She was also ordered to pay surcharges.
BRITIAN L. LOYD, 19, of Elmira was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property III°, a Class D Felony; and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII°, a Class A Misdemeanor. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to May 17 further proceedings. Bail was continued at $2,000.
EDWARD MCALLISTER, 56, of Lakeville was sentenced to four months intermittent incarceration in the Livingston County Jail and five years probation to include six months electronic home monitoring as a result of a plea of guilty to Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus surcharges and his license was revoked with a requirement to install an Ignition Interlock Device, if applicable.
R L. WRIGHT, 29, of Rochester entered a plea of guilty to Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle I°, a Class E Felony; and the matter was adjourned to May 17 for sentencing. He was remanded to the Livingston County Jail without bail.
