Marvin R. Burdick

PIFFARD, N.Y. — Marvin R. “Shorty” Burdick, 72, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, N.Y. Mr. Burdick lived on Genesee Street in Piffard before his entry into Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He was predeceased by his son, Davie Burdick; daughter in law, Laurie Burdick; brother, Leroy Burdick; and sister, Barbara Burdick.

He is survived by his wife, Challis; children, Thomas (Vicki) Burdick of Retsof, Randy Burdick of Piffard, Bonnie (Tim Raycroft) Morris of York; step children, James (Monica Huhn) Jones of York, Kristie (Mike) Hanna of Piffard, Stacey (Jim) Lee of Leicester, Monica Vogel of York; brothers, Ron Burdick of Bethany, Ray (Pat) Burdick of Caledonia, Don (Linda) Burdick of Weedsport, Chuck Burdick of Mississippi; sisters, Brenda (Duane) Pierson of Perry, Donna Spezzano of Leicester; sister-in-law, Joanne Burdick of Castile; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was born December 5, 1939 in Piffard the son of Glenn and Margaret Johnson Burdick.

Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 4-8 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
