Computer and web service opens office in Livonia

“Rockhopper” is an information technology business based in Livonia.

Specializing in website design, web hosting, computer repair and servicing, data recovery, and new equipment and accessories, Rockhopper serves primarily small companies and individuals.

Rockhopper was founded two years ago by Todd Travaglini. The name ‘Rockhopper’ has no specific meaning but was selected for its sound and catchiness, conveying a sense of fortitude, dependability and durability — attributes of a solid business.

After working in the servicing sector of IT, Todd obtained a formal degree and founded Rockhopper. The business is at 6751 Richmond Mills Road in a home-based office and workshop. A commercial location in downtown Livonia or Geneseo is being considered.

“We are new and trying to grow and expand our service area and people’s knowledge of our company,” said Kert MuGuire, who is assisting with business development and sales.

“We are small and local, so our attention level to your needs is high,” McGuire added.

“Todd and I are both from the service industry. At Rockhopper we have a friendly atmosphere where a non-expert can come in and talk about what needs he or she has. You won’t hear a bunch of technical jargon. We’ll make sure you understand what the problem is and what it will take to fix it.”

Rockhopper offers new and custom built equipment for purchase and is an authorized dealer for several laptops. It is a one-stop place for all your computer needs.

Contact 487-8220 to make an appointment or check out the website, or just stop by at 6751 Richmond Mills Road between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays or 9 a.m. and noon Saturdays.
