Livonia basketball camps right around the corner

LIVONIA — If you are interesting in sending your son or daughter to some of the top basketball camps in Livingston County, you can point them towards the Tom Downey Gymnasium in Livonia.

Three-time Section V Coach of the Year Matt Young will be hosting the popular Livonia Bulldogs Basketball Camp for boys entering 3-12, while Section V Hall of Famer and Livonia girls coach Karen Schuster will run her Lady Bulldogs Camp for girls entering K-12.

The boys camp has two sessions — the first for boys in grades 9-12 which takes place June 25-29 from 12:30 p.m. through 3:30 p.m. every day at the Tom Downey Gymnasium in Livonia.

The second camp — which will run from July 9-13 — is designed for boys entering grades 3-8 — and will also run from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at both the Tom Downey Gymnasium and also the middle school gym.

Schuster’s camp for the girls also has two sessions.

Her June 25-29 camp — for girls entering 7-12 will run from 9 a.m. until noon.

The second camp — for girls entering K-6 — will run from July 9-13 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Both girls camps will be held at the Tom Downey Gymnasium.
