Matthew W. Trippi

MOUNT MORRIS — Matthew W. Trippi, age 90 of 97 Chapel Street, Mount Morris, New York, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.

He was born in Dansville, N.Y. the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Guarino) Trippi. He married Phyllis (Hubertus) Trippi on April 18, 1948 who predeceased him on March 6, 2010 after 61 years of marriage.

He is survived by his four children, Pamela Trippi Worboys of Mount Morris, Theresa (Cleven) Caudill of Perry, Francis (Donna) Trippi of Leicester and Patricia (Mark) Suppa of Rochester; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two children, Roger in 1957 and Mary Darlene in 1989; a brother, Joseph; and three sisters, Rose, Mary and Delores.

Friends called Monday, July 2, 2012, from 4-8 p.m. at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where prayers were said Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrick’s Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice, Murray Hill Drive, Mount Morris, NY 14510.
