Arrests and courts, week of July 5

The following are brief listings from the Record Page of the Livingston County News July 5 print edition. Individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty, unless otherwise noted.

Arrests

Drunk driving

Curtis McFarland, 49, arrested for driving while ability impaired by alcohol, motor vehicle registration suspended, drinking alcohol in motor vehicle on highway by Avon PD June 10.

Gary Digby, 34, arrested for crossing road hazard markings, leaving scene of accident, DWI – first offense on June 20 by Caledonia PD.

Matthew Mark, 22, arrested for operating motor vehicle with .10 of one percent alcohol – first offense, operator intoxicated- first offense, possession of marihuana, drinking alcohol in motor vehicle on highway, equipment violation: exhaust system, June 23 by Dansville PD.

Margaret K. Stolee, 58, of Geneseo was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Blood Alcohol .18% or Greater and Failure To Dim Headlights by LCSO. Stolee will address charges in Geneseo Town Court on a later date.

Kirk M. Brockman, 35, of Honeoye, was arrested June 19 by LCSO and charged with Driving While Intoxicated as a Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle I°, Leaving The Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Unlicensed Operator, Open Container of Alcoholic Beverage In a Motor Vehicle, Crossing Hazardous Markings, Failure To Use Designated Lane, Unsafe Lane Change, Failure To Keep Right and Unsafe Tires, Brockman will respond to charges in Livonia Town Court on a later date.

James R. Aman II, 27, of Livonia was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal To Submit To A Breath Test, Unsafe Lane Change and Crossing Hazardous Markings on June 23 by LCSO. Following arraignment in Livonia Town Court, Aman was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail/$20,000 property bond. Aman will return to Livonia Town Court to answer charges.

Edward W. Odell, 30, of Nunda was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Blood Alcohol Content .08 percent or Greater, Speeding and Failure To Dim Headlights on June 22. Odell will appear in West Sparta Town Court.

Drugs

On June 30, Trooper Benjamin Dodge stopped a vehicle on I-390 in the town of Geneseo, Livingston County for moving from lane unsafely. While interviewing the driver, Laura Carey, 41, of Presbyterian Road, Mount Morris, Dodge observed that the driver had difficulty speaking and struggled with putting a timeline together for the day. Carey subsequently performed field sobriety tests in which she failed and was transported to the Livngston County Sheriff’s Office for an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert. It was determined she was on stimulants as weel as depressants. She was arrested for DWAI – Drugs and will have to answer that charge in the town of Geneseo court on Aug. 22.

Jonathan M. Herring, 29, of Lima was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII° and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on June 19 by LCSO. Herring will report to Avon Town Court to answer charges.

Sexual abuse

Keith W. Carter, 50, Dansville was arrested June 25 y LCSO for Sexual Abuse II°. Carter will appear in Dansville Village Court to answer charges.

Theft

Anthony Bertini, 19, of Conesus was arrested June 26 by Geneseo PD for Petit Larceny. Allegedly, Bertini stole merchandise from the store. Bertini is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on July 17.

Cameron A. Hansen, 19, of Geneseo was arrested June 26 for four counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property by LCSO. Hansen was arraigned in Groveland Town Court and was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail/$3,000 property bond. Hansen will return to Groveland Town Court to answer charges.

Kelvin G. Voisey, 17, of Pittsford was charged with Petit Larceny on June 27 by LCSO. Following arraignment in Leicester Town Court, Voisey was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail/$2,000 property bond. Voisey will return to Leicester Town Court to address charges on a later date.

Harassment/Menacing

Richard P. Brown III, 22, of Mount Morris was charged with Harassment II°, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Unlawful Imprisonment and Criminal Contempt I° on June 22 by LCSO. Following arraignment in Mount Morris Village Court, Brown was remanded to the Livingston County Jail without bail. Brown will return to Mt. Morris Village Court.

Daniel A. Ethridge, 31, of Hunt was arrested for four counts of Menacing II° on June 24 by LCSO Following arraignment, Ethridge was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail. Ethridge will appear in Portage Town Court to answer charges on a later date.

David R. Kircherer, 43, of Livonia was charged with Harassment II° on June 23 by LCSO. Kircherer will answer charges.

License and registration

Kevin R. Crosson, 20, of Dansville was arrested June 25 by LCSO on a warrant issued for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle II°. Crosson will address charges in Conesus Town Court.

Other charges

Joseph Floyd-Carter, 17, of Geneseo was arrested June 27 by Geneseo PD for Sexual Misconduct. Floyd-Carter is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on July 10. Livingston Child Protective Services also assisted in this investigation.

Scott J. Trickett, 23, of Avon, was charged June 21 by LCSO with Making a Punishable False Written Statement. Trickett will appear in Avon Town Court.

Shaun M. Struble, 27, of Dansville was charged June 25 by LCSO with Criminal Mischief III°. Struble will report to West Sparta Town Court.

Will T. Halling, 20, of Livonia and Jesse L. Willey, 20, of Silver Springs were charged with Disorderly Conduct on June 25 by LCSO and were released on appearance tickets to appear in Mount Morris Village Court.

Robert B. Gohlman, 19, Hemlock, NY, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Clinging To A Motor Vehicle and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle III° on June 26. Gohlman will address charges in Livonia Town Court .

In court

After presentation by Victor D. Rowcliffe, Assistant District Attorney, the following cases were handled in the Livingston County Court before the Honorable Dennis S. Cohen on June 21.

A YOUTHFUL OFFFENDER was arraigned on a violation of probation, entered a denial, and the matter was adjourned for further proceedings. He was remanded to the Livingston County Jail without bail.

JAMES C. CREAGAN, 65, of Geneseo was sentenced to five years probation to include electronic home monitoring as a result of a plea of guilty to Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony. He was also ordered to pay a fine plus surcharges and his license was revoked with a requirement to install an Ignition Interlock Device.

EMMANUEL J. LOUIS, 19, formerly of the Groveland Correctional Facility was sentenced to a term of one to three years incarceration in a state correctional facility as a result of a plea of guilty to Attempted Promoting Prison Contraband I°, a Class E Felony. He was also ordered to pay surcharges.

MICHELLE E. REESE, 43,of Penfield was sentenced to 60 days incarceration in the Livingston County Jail and five years probation as a result of a plea of guilty to Grand Larceny IV°, a Class E Felony. She was also ordered to pay surcharges and restitution.

JENNIFER M. MAYNARD, 35, of Leroy was charged with Grand Larceny IV°, a Class E Felony; and Perjury II°, a Class E Felony. She was arraigned without an attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to June 28, 2012 for further proceedings. Bail was continued at $3,000.

JOSÉ RIVERA, 56, of Rochester was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony; and Failure to Stay in Lane. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to August 16 for further proceedings. Bail was set at $15,000.
