CONESUS LAKE — Alan J. Wander died July 1, 2012, at age 89 years. He was formerly of Pittsford, N.Y.
He was predeceased by son-in-law, Terry Conking.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Marian; children, Melissa Conking of Pittsford, Alan (Deborah) Wander of Coto de Caza, Calif., Melinda (Fred) Wander of Groveland, Joseph (Carol) Wander of Wadworth, Ohio, Margaret (Thomas) Dunn of Springwater, Thomas (BJ) Wander of Conesus, and Marilou (George) Jones of Knoxville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his sister, Rosabell Wittman Preston of Lakeville; several nieces and nephews.
Friends called Thursday 5 – 8 p.m. at Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Routes 15 and 20A, 21 Big Tree St., Livonia. His Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, 11 a.m. at St. Louis Church in Pittsford. Burial, White Haven Memorial Park.
