Collins: Hochul working with Obama
Republican Congressional hopeful Chris Collins has made it his business to link incumbent Kathy Hochul to President Barack Obama. The Collins campaign recently unveiled a series of mobile billboards showing illustrations of Hochul and Obama standing together. Other ads highlight Hochul’s votes in Congress in favor of Obama’s healthcare bill, which is not supported by many Republicans. The newly minted 27th district of New York has a plurality of Republican voters, a fact that Collins hopes to use to his advantage. “It is very clear that, particularly in the 27th Congressional District, individuals there do not want the health care law,” Niagara County Republican Chairman Michael J. Norris said, “Kathy Hochul has stood [in] lock step with President Obama in supporting this health care law.”
Collins will face Hochul in the general election this November.
