The Barnyard Boggers are among the new attractions at this year's Livingston County Fair at Caledonia.
County Fair opens next week in Caledonia
The Livingston County Fair at Caledonia comes to town next week, July 31 – Aug. 4.
A lot has changed in the 150 year history of the Caledonia Fair, yet the fair continues to be a an exhibition of the area’s agricultural heritage.
The week features an exciting line up of agricultural exhibits and demonstrations, midway rides, 4-H exhibits, great food and nightly shows in the historic grandstand and live musical entertainment in the festival tent.
On Monday, July 30, the grandstand will play host to harness racing as a precursor to the week’s events. The fair officially opens its gates on Tuesday at noon.
The midway will open at 3 p.m. Judges will be busy looking over the various 4-H entries and an English horse show will get underway at 10 a.m.
If rodeo riding is more your style, be at the arena at 6 p.m. for the finals of the Friday night rodeo competition that has been happening all summer. Between rodeo events, check out the mini horse pull at the grandstand.
A western horse show kicks things off on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The evening event in the grandstand is a garden tractor pull and the ever-popular milking contest at 6 p.m.
Come and watch as Livingston County officials team up to fill their bucket and claim the bragging rights for the year.
On Thursday, judges will be putting their eyes on a variety of entries, from flowers to poultry and dairy and beef cows. Barnyard Mud Boggers will entertain at 7 p.m. and Jedi Masters perform in the festival tent.
Friday night is the Western New York Pro Farm Pull featuring 4 X 4 diesel pickup trucks. Saturday morning at 9 a.m. is a draft horse show and at 6 p.m. the demolition derby gets underway.
FPW wrestling takes place at 7 p.m. and the 4-H fashion show starts at 7:30 p.m. Co Motion performs in the festival tent for the final night of the fair.
