Cuomo Popularity at 73 percent
Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s popularity has reached an all-time high of 73 percent, however, many New York voters stopped short of saying that he would make a good president. Rumors have abounded of the possibility of Cuomo making a run for president in 2016. Supporters hope to capitalize on the governor’s stratospheric popularity and record of cleaning up government in the Empire State. 40 percent of registered voters said that they felt Cuomo would make a good president, while 30 percent opposed to the idea and another 30 percent undecided. 54 percent of those polled said they would favor Hillary Clinton over Cuomo.
Public Service Commission finds RG&E at fault
After New York State Public Service Commission has found that Rochester Gas and Electric was at fault for a January release of customer information to unauthorized persons. Although there are no know instances of customer data used
“Our investigation found that NYSEG and RG&E failed to meet industry standards and best practices to protect personally identifiable information of customers,” the PSC said in a statement.
“As a result, we are directing the companies to immediately take action to address the vulnerabilities on its computer billing and records systems currently used to take and maintain confidential customer information.”
There is no word as to any sanctions that may be filed against the company.
