Pedestrian struck, killed following Avon wedding

A woman attending a wedding in East Avon today was struck and killed by a passing car as she attempted to cross Route 15 at around 3:30 p.m. Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies say that Corridina Derosa, 77, was struck by a vehicle operated by 45 year old Kelly Anstey of Medina, NY. Avon Fire and emgency crews responded to the incident and Ms. Derosa was transported by ambulance to the hospital where she later died. Anstey and an unidentified passenger were not injured. Investigating agents of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office say that the investigation is ongoing.
