Arrests and Courts, week of Aug. 16

The following are brief listings from our Aug. 16 print edition. Individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Arrests

Assault

Kyle Schrader, 20, was arrested by Avon PD and charged with two counts of unlawfully dealing with a child-first offense, endangering the welfare of a child, assault III°: with intent to cause physical injury, July 31.

Nicole B. I. Ethridge, 30, was arrested by Dansville PD for assault-III°, menacing-III° July 16.

Drunk driving

David Taylor, 57, was arrested byb driving while intoxicated-first offense, illegal signal: less than 100 feet from turn, crossing road hazard markings, July 10

Theft

Michael Wingerden, 17, of Geneseo was arrested Aug. 7 by Geneseo PD for Petit Larceny at 4235 Veteran Drive. Allegedly, Wingerden stole merchandise from the store. He is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Sept. 4.

David Lewis, 29, arrested by Nunda PD for petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property: V° July 31.

License and registration

Karl Redance, 22, of Arkport was arrested Aug. 10 by Geneseo PD for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation III° and Unlicensed Operation on Avon Road. Allegedly, Redance’s driver’s license was suspended. Redance is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Sept. 18.

Johnny Stewert, 27, was arrested by Dansville PD for aggravated unlicensed operation II°: three/more open suspensions-three/more separate dates, speed violation: speed in zone, July 15.

Other charges

Kody McKee, 25, criminal contempt II°, operating a motor vehicle without inspection certificate, failed to stop at stop sign, by Avon PD July 17.

Gregory Chapman, 20, was arrested by Dansville PD for criminal trespass-III°: property fenced in or enclosed on July 18.

Kelly Smith, 35, was arrested by Dansville PD for criminal possession stolen property IV° on July 28.

Elise Ruckdeschel, 19, was arrested by Dansville PD for criminal trespass III°: property fenced in or enclosed, unlawful possession of marijuana on July 11.

Frank Molnar, Jr., 25, was arrested by Dansville PD for criminal possession of stolen property V° on July 28.

Dakota Little, 17, was arrested by Dansville PD for criminal trespass III°: property fenced in or enclosed on July 16.

Chad Lafferty, 29, arrested for criminal possession of stolen property V° by Ninda PD July 31.

In court

After presentation by Gregory J. McCaffrey, District Attorney, the following cases were handled in the Livingston County Court before the Hon. Robert B. Wiggins Aug. 7.

A YOUTHFUL OFFENDER was charged with Burglary III°, a Class D Felony; and Grand Larceny IV°, a Class E Felony. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to Oct. 16 for further proceedings. Bail was continued at $5,000.

MATTHEW P. SAPETKO, 31, of Mount Morris was charged with Strangulation II°, a Class D Felony; Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, a Class A Misdemeanor; two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor; and two counts of Harassment II°. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to Sept. 25 for further proceedings. Bail was continued at $3,000 and an Order of Protection was issued for the victim.

MATTHEW A. MCCRACKEN, 28, of Caledonia entered a plea of guilty to Criminal Contempt I°, a Class E Felony; and the matter was adjourned to Sept. 18 for sentencing. He was remanded to the Livingston County jail without bail.

After presentation by Victor D. Rowcliffe, Assistant District Attorney, the following cases were handled in the Livingston County Court before the Honorable Dennis S. Cohen on Aug.t 9.

RONALD R. ARVER, 34, of Livonia was sentenced to a term of one to three years incarceration in a state correctional facility as a result of a prior admission to a violation of probation.

ADAM M. FOSTER, 21, of Churchville was sentenced to two months intermittent incarceration in the Livingston County Jail and three years probation as a result of a plea of guilty to Attempted Grand Larceny IV°, a Class A Misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay surcharges, DNA fees, and Crime Victim Assistance fees.

JOHN KENNEDY, JR., 23, of Portageville was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony; and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle I°, a Class E Felony. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to Sept. 13 for further proceedings. Bail was continued at $1,500 and his license was suspended pending prosecution.

DEANNA L. LEACH, 39, of Leicester entered a plea of guilty to Grand Larceny III°, Class D Felony, and entered an admission to a violation of probation. The matter was adjourned to Sept. 27 for sentencing and she was remanded to the Livingston County Jail without bail.

ANTHONY J. LOCKWOOD, 23, of Geneseo was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle I°, a Class E Felony; Speeding, Operating a Motor Vehicle without Properly Lit License Plate, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device. He was arraigned without an attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to Aug. 30 to appear with an attorney. Bail was continued at $2,500 with electronic home monitoring and his license was suspended pending prosecution.

DANIEL L. MILLER, 20, of Painted Post was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a Class D Felony; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle I°, a Class E Felony; Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with an Expired License. He was arraigned with his attorney, entered a plea of not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to Oct. 11 for further proceedings. Bail was continued at $5,000 and his license was suspended pending prosecution.

A YOUTHFUL OFFENDER was sentenced to three months intermittent incarceration in the Livingston County Jail and five years probation as a result of a plea of guilty to Criminal Mischief III°, a Class E Felony. He was also ordered to pay restitution and surcharges.

LUIS A. SANTOS, 41, of Rochester was sentenced to a term of six years incarceration in a state correctional facility plus three years post-release supervision as a result of a plea of guilty to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance III°, a Class B Felony. He was also ordered to pay surcharges and DNA fees.
