Arrests, Aug 30, 2012

Brief arrests listings from our Aug, 30 print edition. We did not receive a listing of court appearances this week. All individuals below are innocent until proven guilty.

Geneseo Police

Bret Loomis, 25, of Groveland was arrested Aug. 20 for numerous traffic violations during a traffic pursuit on July 29 in the Village of Geneseo. Allegedly, Loomis was driving a motor vehicle that refused to stop in the Village and the pursuit continued into the Town of Geneseo and into the Town of Groveland. The pursuit was ended due to safety concerns for the community. Upon investigation into this incident, Loomis was given citations for three counts of Speeding, Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, and No Turn Signal; and one count of Failure to Comply. Loomis is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Sept. 18. The Geneseo Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

Jarrod Mattison, 27, of Brockport was arrested Aug. 21 for Driving with a Suspended Registration, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation III° and Unlicensed Operation on Avon Road. Mattison is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Sept. 18.

Chelsea Wright, 17, of Nunda, nd Michaela Sonnleitner, 17, of Nunda was arrested Aug. 21 for Petit Larceny. Allegedly, both individuals stole merchandise totaling more than $50. Both are scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Oct. 2.

Celeste White, 17, of Leroy and Kimberly Schreiner, 18, of Lima were both arrested Aug. 22 for Petit Larceny at 4235 Veteran Drive. Allegedly, both individuals stole merchandise from the store. Both are scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Oct. 2.

Ashlee Stewart, 26, of Castile was arrested Aug. 24 for Petit Larceny at 4235 Veteran Drive. Allegedly, Stewart stole more than $115 worth of merchandise. She is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Oct. 2.

Shane Feldman, 19, of Melville was arrested Aug. 25 for Unlawfully Dealing with a Child I° and Selling Alcohol without a License. The officers found a party occurring at 64 Court Street with an estimated attendance of 150-200 people. Allegedly, Feldman sold alcohol to underage persons and did not have a license under the New York State Beverage Control Law to sell alcoholic beverages. Feldman is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Sept. 14. The Geneseo Police Department was assisted by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. This investigation is on-going and further arrests are possible.

Caledonia Police

Zachery Stephany, 20, arrested for acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17, Aug. 21

Kelly Judson, 38, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle on public highway while using a mobile phone, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle-III°, Aug.16.

Dansville Police

Michael Bennett, 30, was arrested for petit larceny, Aug. 5

Charles Powers, 63, arrested for criminal mischief: intent to damage property, operator leaves scene of property damage accident, failure to keep right: two lane road, failed to use designated lane, moved from lane unsafely, July 28.

Mount Morris Police

David Delude, 30, arrested for failure to stop at a stop sign, motor vehicle license violation: no license, failure to notify DMV of address change, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle-III°, August 10

Joshua Sullivan, 23,arrested for operating a motor vehicle with .08 of one percent alcohol or more in blood-first offense, driving while intoxicated-first offense, drinking alcohol in motor vehicle on highway, August 4

James Jurek, 40, arrested for disorderly conduct: obscene language/gestures on Aug. 17.

Diamond Jackson, 25, arrested for animal cruelty, unlawful possession of marihuana, Aug. 6.

Livingston County Sheriff

Kristy L. McNeil, 41, of Avon was arrested Aug. 19, charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment II°. McNeil will appear in Avon Town Court to answer charges on a later date.

Douglas M. Sawdey, 45, of Avon, was arrested Aug. 19, charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Contempt II° and Harassment II°. Sawdey will answer charges in the Town of Avon Court at a later date.

David R. Mark, 26, of Dansville was arrested Aug. 18, charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII° and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument. Mark will appear in the Town of Avon Court at a later date to answer charges.

Christopher R. Barron, 24, of Dansville was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument on Aug. 18. Barron will answer charges in the Town of Avon Court at a later date.

Antonio B. Hernandez, 19, of Piffard was arrested for Criminal Mischief IV° on Aug. 18. Hernandez is to appear in the Town of Mount Morris Court at a later date to answer charges.

Mark W. Folwell, 17, of Churchville was arrested for Forgery III°, Petit Larceny and False Written Statement on Aug. 10. Folwell will appear in the Town of Caledonia Court at a later date to answer charges.

Michael S. Patterson, 30, of Portage was arrested on Aug. 19 for Criminal Mischief IV° and Assault III°. Patterson will answer charges in Portage Town Court.

Erika M. Romig, 23, of Dansville was arrested for Petit Larceny on Aug. 16. Romig will report to the Town of North Dansville Court at a later date to answer charges.

Nicholas F. Donoghue, 23, of Mount Morris was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property V° on Aug. 16. Donoghue is to appear in Mount Morris Town Court at a later date to answer charges.

Jamie J. Wolfanger, 28, of Dansville, NY, was arrested for Criminal Contempt II° on Aug. 16. Wolfanger will appear in Geneseo Town Court to answer charges at a later date.

Lorenzo Brown, 49, of Scio was arrested on Aug. 11 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII°. Following arraignment in Groveland Town Court, Brown was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.

Willie C. Banks, 60, of Wellsville was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII°, Failure to use designated lane, Consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator III° and Unlicensed Operator on Aug. 11. Banks is to appear in Groveland Town Court at a later date to answer charges.

Christopher J. Wallace, 19, of Hornell was charged Aug. 15 with Petit Larceny. Wallace is to appear at a later date in North Dansville Town Court.

Joshua W. Wright, 30, of Mount Morris was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII° on Aug. 14. Wright will appear in Mt. Morris Town Court at a later date to answer charges.

Brenda L. Burdick, 38, of Linwood, NY, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment II° on Aug. 13. Burdick will appear in York Town Court to answer charges at a later date.

William A. Loftus, 53, of Livonia was charged with harassment II° on Aug. 9. Loftus will appear in Livonia Town Court to answer charges at a later date.

Alex V. Schellem, 24, of Nunda was arrested for Trespass on Aug. 6. Schellem is to appear in West Sparta Town Court to answer charges.

Timothy P. Horton, 44, of Nunda was cited for harassment II° on Aug. 13th. Horton will answer charges in Nunda Town Court at a later date.

Heather M. Rock, 37, of Wayland was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII°, Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument VII° and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on Aug. 12. Rock will appear in the Town of Avon Court at a later date to answer charges.

James L. Horne, 22, of Wayland was arrested Aug. 12 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII°. Horne will appear in Avon Town Court at a later date.

Jabin M. Hutton, 25, of Honeoye Falls,NY, was charged with Ciminal Mischief IV° and Harassment II° on Aug. 10. Hutton will appear in Avon Town Court at a later date.

Robert C. Laiosa, 61, of Livonia was arrested for Aggravated Harassment II° on Aug. 10. Laiosa will answer charges in Livonia Village Court.

Crystal Tolbert, 33, of Dansville and Rose M. Patterson, 56, also of Dansville were charged with Identity Theft II° on Aug. 9. Both are to appear in Dansville Village Court.

John A. Zona, 49, of Fairport was charged on Aug. 10 for Aggravated Harassment and Criminal Contempt 1st Degree. Following arraignment, Zona was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail. Zona will appear at a later date in Lima Court to answer charges.

John S. Cannon, 25, of Springwater was charged on Aug. 7 for Criminal Mischief IV° and Failure to Keep Right. Cannon will appear in Livonia Town Court.

Charles A. Brutsman, 58, of Livonia was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property V° and Petit Larceny on Aug. 9. Following arraignment, Brutsman was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail/$5,000 property bond. Brutsman will appear in Livonia Town Court at a later date.

Newell N. Babcock, 49, Friendship was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated Prior Conviction within 10 years, Driving While Intoxicated Prior Conviction, Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Operating Without Insurance, Displayed Forged Inspection Sticker, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Improper Plates, Uninspected Motor Vehicle, No Registration Sticker, and False Altered Registration on Aug. 8. Following arraignment in Avon Town Court, Babcock was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail. Babcock will return at a later date to Avon Town Court to answer charges.

Millard F. Walker Jr., 56, of Avon was arrested on July 31 for Scheme To Defraud. Walker will appear in Geneseo Village Court at a later date.

Samuel J. Ingallina, 43, Livonia was charged with Felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, two counts Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under 17 years of age, and Uninspected Motor Vehicle. Following arraignment in Livonia Town Court, Babcock was remanded to the Livingston County Jail without bail. He will return to Livonia Town Court at a later date.

John S. Collister, 45, of Nunda was arrested Aug. 8 for Harassment II°. Collister was arraigned in West Sparta Town Court and remanded to the Livingston County Jail in $500 cash bail/$1000 bond. Collister will return to West Sparta Town Court to answer charges.

Terry L. Sprague, 50, Avon, NY, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon on Aug. 2nd. Sprague will answer charges at a later date in Avon Town Court.

Wilbert C. Grant, 56, of Hornell was charged withCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII°, Driving While Under the Influence of Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator III°, and several other Vehicle and Traffic Violations on Aug. 6. Following arraignment in Groveland Town Court, Grant was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail/$3,000 bond. Grant will return to Geneseo Town Court at a later date.

Andy J. Keeley, 44, of Hornell was arrested on Aug. 6 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII°. Following arraignment in Groveland Town Court, Keeler was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail/$1,000 bond. Keeler will return at a later date to answer charges in Geneseo Town Court.

Walter E.V. Baird, 19, of Wayland was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving With .08 of one percent Blood Alcohol, Speeding, and Underage Possession of Alcohol on Aug. 3. Baird will appear in North Dansville Town Court.

Kerri L. Forsberg, 40, of Lakeville was charged Aug. 5 with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance VII°. Forsberg will appear at a later date in Livonia Town Court.

Millard F. Walker Jr., 56, of Avon was charged with Scheme to Defraud on July 31. Walker will appear in Lima Village Court at a later date to answer this charge.

Barbara J. Stumbo, 60, of Springwater was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Use Designated Lane on Aug. 2. Stumbo was arraigned in Livonia Town Court, where she will appear at a later date to answer charges.

Dalton K. Alloco, 18, of Dalton was arrested for Criminal Mischief IV° and Burglary III° on Aug. 2. Following arraignment in Nunda Town Court, Alloco was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 bond. Alloco will return to Nunda Town Court.

Carl W. Royce, 36, Cohocton, NY, was charged Aug. 21 with Criminal Contempt II°. Following arraignment in Geneseo Town Court, Royce was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail. Royce will return to Springwater Town Court to answer charges at a later date.

Jayson M. Halladay, 38, of Wayland was arrested for Assault III° and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on Aug. 3, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on Aug. 4. Halladay will appear in North Dansville Town Court at a later date to answer charges.

Thomas F. Dalberth, 38, of Leroy was charged Aug. 5 with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Operating Without Ignition Interlock Device, Felony Operating a Motor Vehicle with .08 of one percent or More of Alcohol, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, along with other vehicle and traffic law violations. Dalberth was remanded to the Livingston County Jail following arraignment in Livonia Town Court in lieu of $2,000 cash bail/$4,000 bond. Dalberth will return to Livingston County Court at a later date.

The challengers are claiming administrative overload, lack of transparency, poor student performance, and a need for a student resource officer, and are also bemoaning a newly enacted policy for school voter identification documentation.

Small library asking for increase in Wayland

Wayland Library Director Karen Deutsch said the board of directors decided to ask for additional $10,000 to bring the budget up to $115,000. The rate hike will come before the taxpayers during the school budget vote on May 21.
