Golden Knights whip Canisteo-Greenwood

GREIGSVILLE — Dominant early play by the Golden Knights and key turnovers by the Redskins doomed Canisteo-Greenwood to a 35-16 loss at York on Friday night.
The Knights put up 28 points in the first half and made it 35-0 in the third before late drives by the determined Redskins threatened to make a game of it, but it was too little, too late as the Knights moved to 2-1 on the season.
Ryan Reynolds rushed 13 times for a career-high 86 yards and one TD — a 2-yard run in the second. Nick Curry caught a pair of TD passes from the LCAA’s top rated QB Tyler Shutts — an 18-yard scoring strike in the first and a 20-yard TD pass in the second. Neil Craft added a 65-yard punt return for a TD.
Defensively for York, Ryan Lowden had eight tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
