Livonia blanks Hornell, 4-0

HORNELL — One of Livonia’s toughest challenges during the regular season was supposed to be when the Bulldogs traveled down to Maple City Park to play the always tough Hornell Red Raiders.

Not a chance.

Divonte Geiger scored three goals while Kory Zimmer added one as visiting Livonia, the No. 2 ranked team in the state in Class B, improved to 11-0-0 on the season with the convincing 4-0 victory over Hornell in LCAA D-I action Thursday night.

Livonia outshot Hornell 25-6 for the game.

Geiger, a junior forward, scored 10 minutes into the game off a feed from Zimmer.

The Bulldogs were just getting started.

Zimmer, also a junior forward, netted his goal just five minutes later off an assist from Justin Swift.

Livonia led 2-0 at the half.

Geiger scored both his second half goals within the first 15 minutes as the Bulldogs ran away with the easy win to improve to 5-0-0 in the LCAA D-I standings.

Jack Simpson and Brandon Holley each had assists for Livonia, who has outscored their opponents 55-2 on the season.
