Livonia girls improve to 21-0

HEMLOCK — Led by a strong contingent of runners, the Livonia girls’ cross-country team ran away with easy victories over Geneseo (15-50); Lima Christian (15-50); and Mount Morris (17-46) during LCAA-GR action Tuesday afternoon at Hemlock Lake.

Livonia placed all five of their scoring runners in the first six spots led by freshman Melissa Mineti’s first place finish in 20:27.

Teammates Alexandra Shipman (20:30) and Cassandra Tkaczow (20:33) placed second and third respectively while Molly Stewart (21:10) and Sarah Warner (21:11) were fifth and sixth respectively for the Lady Bulldogs, who are a perfect 21-0 on the season.

Mt. Morris runner Liz Chichester was the only reason the Lady Bulldogs didn’t sweep the top six spots as she placed fourth overall in 20:49.

Geneseo defeated Mount Morris (23-32).

Livonia swept the boys’ team results and improved to 19-2 on the season.
