Arrests and courts, week of Oct. 25

Below are brief arrest listings published in the Oct. 25 print edition of the Livingston County News. Individuals whose names appear here are innocent until proven guilty in court.

Arrests

Drunk Driving

Travis J. Steger, 24, of Wyoming was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal To Submit To A Breathalyzer Test and Stopping/Standing/Parking On A Highway on Oct. 14 by LCSO. Steger will appear in York Town Court to answer charges.

Carla A. Romero, 46, of North Chili was arrested Oct. 14 by LCSO for Driving While Intoxicated, Blood Alcohol Content .08 percent or Greater and Failure To Keep Right. Romero will appear in Geneseo Village Court to answer charges on a later date.

Thomas C. Davis, 32, of Wellsville was arrested Oct. 14 by LCSO for Driving While Intoxicated as a Felony, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle I°, Refusal To Submit to a Breathalyzer Test, Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Driving, Failure To Keep Right, Failure To Comply, Speeding and Failure To Stop for a Stop Sign. Following arraignment in West Sparta Town Court, Davis was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on no bail. Davis will return to West Sparta Town Court to answer charges.

Shawn J. Moran, 55, of Conesus was arrested Oct. 16 by LCSO for Driving While Intoxicated as a Felony and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Following arraignment in Lima Town Court, Moran was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on no bail. Moran will address charges in Livingston County Court.

Terrence Kiniry, 50, of Mexico, NY was arrested Oct. 17 by Geneseo PD for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with more than .08 percent blood alcohol content, and Failure to Signal. Allegedly, Kiniry’s blood alcohol concentration was 1.5 times the legal limit. Kiniry is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court Nov. 13.

License and Registration

Carlos Valentin-Cozada, 27, of Leicester was arrested Oct. 13 by Geneseo PD for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation III°, Driving with a Suspended Registration and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Valentin-Cozada is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Oct. 23.

Joseph Gohlman, 21, of Geneseo was arrested Oct. 15 by Geneseo PD for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation II°, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation III°, Failing to Surrender a Suspended/ Revoked License, Unlicensed Operation and Leaving a Motor Vehicle Unattended. Gohlman was arraigned in front of Geneseo Justice Thomas Bushnell and was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $200 cash / $400 bond.

Theft

Sarah Qureshi, 24, of Geneseo, and Ashley Leslie, 24, of Leicester were arrested Oct. 14 by Geneseo PD for Petit Larceny. Both are scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court Nov. 13.

Bailee Borden, 16, of Nunda was arrested Oct. 17 by Geneseo PD for Petit Larceny. Allegedly, Borden stole more than $65 worth of merchandise from the store. Borden is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Nov. 13.

Other charges

Nicholas R. Pittard, 19, of Livonia was arrested Oct. 13 for Criminal Mischief III°, Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana by LCSO. Following arraignment in Livonia Town Court, Pittard was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail/$5,000 property bond. Pittard will return to Livonia Town Court to address charges on a later date.

Jacon A. Shamp, 21, of Livonia was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child on Oct. 13. Shamp will answer charges in Avon Town Court on a later date.

Allen T. Bill, Jr., 50, of Lakeville was charged with Criminal Trespass on Oct. 14 LCSO. Bill will address charges in Livonia Town Court on a later date.

William M. Stringer, 30, of Conesus, was arrested October 15 by LCSO for Forcible Touching, Unlawful Imprisonment and Harassment II°. Stringer will appear at a later date in Conesus Town Court to address charges.

Brandon M. Brady, 34, of Leicester was arrested Oct. 16 by LCSO for Aggravated Harassment and Criminal Contempt. Following arraignment in York Town Court, Brady was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail. Brady will return to York Town Court to answer charges on a later date.

Deborah S. Brown, 49, of Dansville was charged with Harassment II° on Oct. 10 by LCSO. Brown will report to Dansville Town Court to answer charges on a later date.

Elvin Johnson, 20, of Geneseo, was arrested Oct. 16 by Geneseo PD for Disorderly Conduct and Public Lewdness. Allegedly, Johnson was acting in a lewd manner on Meadow Drive, while yelling profanities. Johnson was arraigned in front of Geneseo Justice Thomas Bushnell and released to appear at a later date.

Daniel Muscarella, 45 of Mount Morris was arrested Oct. 16 by Geneseo PD for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation III°, Unlicensed Operation, Operating without Insurance, and Operating with a Suspended Registration. Muscarella is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court Nov. 20.

Velentine Cucu, 22, of Geneseo, was arrested Oct. 17 for Making Graffiti on Main Street by Geneseo PD. Cucu is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on Nov. 10.

Voter ID policy among election issues in Mount Morris

A trio of incumbents elected to the Mount Morris Central School Board three years ago — Tad Rowley, Amanda Lonsberry and Ann Hunt — are touting successful on-track reform as they face two challengers — David DiPasquale and Peter Privitera. The challengers are claiming administrative overload, lack of transparency, poor student performance, and a need for a student resource officer, and are also bemoaning a newly enacted policy for school voter identification documentation.

BUDGET VOTE

Small library asking for increase in Wayland

Wayland Library Director Karen Deutsch said the board of directors decided to ask for additional $10,000 to bring the budget up to $115,000. The rate hike will come before the taxpayers during the school budget vote on May 21.
