Lillian M. Anderson
NUNDA — Lillian M. Anderson, age 93, of 1614 State Route 436, Nunda, New York, died January 16, 2013, in Nunda, N.Y. after a brief illness.
She was born the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Ford) Litteer on March 8, 1919 in Groveland, N.Y. She graduated in 1937 as Valedictorian from Groveland High School.
Prior to her retirement in 1993 she was employed as a teacher’s aide in the Keshequa School District for 23 years and had a positive influence on hundreds of students. She enjoyed many years with local cloggers including the Sun Country Cloggers performing in parades and special events.
She is survived by her three children, Melissa Anderson of Nunda, Mina (Richard) Sinsabaugh of Dalton and Timothy (Barbara) Anderson of Nunda; four grandchildren, Kimberlee (Brian) Litteer, Lynn (Brandon) Friends, Jeffrey Anderson and Tammy (Brad) Wood; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe and Mason Litteer, Sable Bugman, Bryn and Gage Friends, Nathan and Matthew Wood; sister-in-law, Helen Litteer of Henrietta and brother-in-law, Stewart (Pat) Anderson of Groveland Station; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Edward “Obie” Anderson in 1996 and daughter Margaret “Peggy” Anderson in 2003.
No Prior calling. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 29, at the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscarora at 2 p.m.. Reverend Stuart Buisch officiating.
