ACWC auction features Native American arts, collectibles
PERRY — More than 200 Native American arts and crafts collectibles are up for auction at the Arts Council for Wyoming County, 31 South Main St.
The silent auction opened Aug. 10 and culminates with the live auction on Aug. 24.
Included in both auctions are multiple representations of eagles, sculptures of famous Native Americans, a few original paintings, many prints including work by Frederic Remington and Gregory Perillo. There are also collectible plates, and porcelain hand-painted sculptures created by the Franklin Mint. A small collection of dolls, arrowheads and beaded jewelry will be up for grabs in the live auction.
On Aug. 24, light refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m. prior to the live auction kick off. Individuals may view and bid on the silent auction items during normal gallery hours until 6 p.m. on Aug. 24. The live auction kicks off at 7 p.m.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The gallery is closed Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.
Tickets to participate in the auction cost $3 and are available at the Arts Council.
