Chuck Krueger, Sr. will be inducted into the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Drivers Walk of Fame on September 10. Membership is for “the great drivers who have competed on the Glen's world famous circuit over the last 56 years.” To be considered for the honor, the driver must have driven a race car in competition at one of the four race courses used at The Glen over the past half century.

Bus crash damages could be capped
The victims of a January 2005 crash may end up seeing only a fraction of the amounts awarded by the Livingston County jury. Prior to the damages trial the defendant trucking and motor coach companies had secured a ruling in New York State Supreme Court that the damages should be subject to the Canadian law which caps individual awards for pain and suffering and sets an absolute award amount at $326,000 — or less if the injury is deemed less than catastrophic.

Lake bears brunt of reassessment hikes
Sales of homes along the shores of Conesus Lake fell to half their usual number during 2008 and 2009, but for those homes that were sold, buyers were paying a premium price -- on the average about 35 percent more than the same home would have sold for in 2005. Recent re-assessments all around the lake have jumped an average of 35 percent.
