‘Ye Olde Outhouse’ now on Main St. in Mount Morris
Outhouses are in with Betty Kunkle; she collects them and their stories! Some are for sale. Kunkle, owner of Ye Olde Outhouse, which also sells everything from rubber stamps and cardstock to yarn, scented candles and antique wood cabinets, admits that her hobby is a bit unusual.

The dam road is fixed
Over the last 12 years that I’ve been going to the Visitor Center, the road from Route 408 to the Center was like traveling on a surface where a roadside bomb exploded. But that’s all behind us; it’s ‘water over the dam,’ so to speak. The road is new and smooth, no longer full of pot holes.

The puzzle of autism
So complex is this neurological disorder that the Autism Society of America uses, as a logo, a ribbon with jigsaw puzzle pieces on it. Mount Morris Central’s Autism Awareness Day featured a zany necktie (close enough to a ribbon) contest.

A new place for art in Mount Morris
Developer Greg O’Connell, who purchased 18 properties in the Mount Morris business district, is designating one of them a space for art. The 65 Main Street space is unique because a dividing wall that separated two businesses many years ago had two blocked-off two archways. Now, the attractive archways are open, allowing back and forth access between both sides.
