PHOENIX, AZ — Jeff Holbrook might be over 2,200 miles away, but his heart still belongs in western New York.

The ’84 Dansville graduate and longtime front office employee of the Buffalo Sabres is the current Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.

“I am a long, long way from home,” said Holbrook. “During the hustle and bustle of a hockey season, there really isn’t any time to miss my family and friends. But during the off-season, it can be a little rough. I’ve had my same friends my entire life, and I as get older, I miss them more. I have a soft spot in my heart (for western New York), and I really miss it back there.”

Holbrook gets back to the Dansville area “about four or five times a year,” he says. “Sometimes only for a night — sometimes a couple of nights.”

Read more about this in the July 9 issue of the Livingston County News, including Holbrook’s behind-the-scenes executive of a major NHL hockey team.
