April E. Crandall, 23, of Springwater is in the county jail following her arrest for two counts of rape in the third degree and another count of committing a criminal sexual act in the third degree. Livingston County Sheriff's deputies made the arrest following  an investigation into allegations she engaged in sexual contact with a 15 year old boy on three occasions in June and July of 2009.

Crandall was arraigned in the Town Court, Town of North Dansville by Justice Werth. She was committed to the  Livingston County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.  Crandall will appear in the Town of Springwater court at a later date for further proceedings.

Conducting the investigation were Inv. R. Huff Jr. and Deputy A.M. Didas.
