MOUNT MORRIS — Joseph J. “Brownie” Valentino, age 96 of 97 North Main Street, Mount Morris, New York, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, New York.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence (Rose Marie) Valentino of Caledonia; three daughters, Florence Bellon of California, Gertrude (James) Townsend of Avon and Deborah (Mike Zaso) Valentino of Mount Morris; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; sister, Rose Genco of Mount Morris; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Joseph and Sabby; and daughter-in-law, Arlene.
Friends called Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where prayers will be said on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrick’s Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The Reverend Edward Dillon officiating.
