LE ROY — A Caledonia woman has been charged in connection with the burglary of a North Street home.

Nicole L. Green, 23, of 3165 Maier Lane was arrested Saturday and charged with numerous felonies and a misdemeanor. The arrest followed  a week-long investigation into a burglary in which cash, jewelry and two handgunds were stolen, Le Roy police said.

The investigation started July 24 when the homeowner returned to find that someone had entered the residence during the daytime and stole the items from a bedroom, police said. The subsequent investigation alleged Green to be a suspect and she was known to the victim, police said.

Also, police said, the victim had loaned Green a car earlier in the year but but she refused to return the vehicle when told to do so.

The vehicle was recovered by police on July 27 in Monroe County and a warrant was issued for Green for unauthorized use of a vehicle. Green was located in the City of Rochester on Saturday and transferred to Le Roy, where she was arrested both for that charge and subsequently for the burglary of the residence, police said.

Green was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary as she allegedly entered the residence twice on July 24. The weapons have not been recovered, police said.

Green was additionally charged with three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, all felonies; and one count of third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

She was arraigned in Le Roy Town Court and committed to Genesee County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail for the misdemeanor charge and $7,500 bail for the burglary and grand larceny charges.
