HF-L school district seeks budget input

The Honeoye Falls-Lima School District is seeking volunteers, business partners and participants in the program and budget development process. The District hopes to extend its exceptional rate of volunteerism and community participation in the schools.

Parents interested in volunteering to support students and teachers are encouraged to contact their children’s teachers or the school principal. Community members and businesses interested in a partnership with the school in training and preparing students for the workforce are encouraged to contact Christine DiFranco at 624-7058 or David Roth at 624-7050.

Those interested is working with the school district on program and budget planning can do so by participating on a school or department’s Decision Input Unit (DIU), or by applying for membership to the Program Budget Advisory Council (PBAC).

Decision Input Unit members plan the instructional program and services offered to students in our schools, transportation and buildings and grounds departments, and the Central Office. Parents and community members can participate on a DIU through any of those sites by contacting: K-5 (624-7160), Middle School (624-7100), High School (624-7050), Transportation (624-7045), Buildings and Grounds (624-7040), Music (624-7160), Library Services (624-7140), and Central Office (624-7000).

The Program Budget Advisory Council is appointed by the Board of Education to review all program proposals and budgets, and advise the Superintendent and Board of Education as to the quality and viability of those plans.
