Three arrested for Dansville thefts

Three Liverpool, N.Y. men were arrested after a monthlong investigation into an Aug.23 burglary and an Aug. 27 home invasion robbery.Both incidents occurred on Sandy Hill Rd. in the Town of North Dansville.

Sheriff's investigators along with detectives from the Niagara Falls Police Dept. executed a search warrant on a Niagara Falls apartment which yielded evidence supporting the charges. Charged in this investigation were three 20 year olds: Michael Valentine
III, Toby S. Ambriati and Joel Kupczyk.

Valentine was charged with Robbery in the second degree as well as Burglary in the second degree and Grand Larceny in the third degree. Ambriati was charged with Robbery in the second degree. Kupczyk was charged with Burglary in the second degree and Grand Larceny in
the third degree.

All defendants were arraigned before Town Justice Haskins in Geneseo and remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of bail. Additional charges may be pending for these defendants.

Handling the case for the Sheriff's Office were Inv. Kim Moran, Inv, Matt Burgess, Major James Szczesniak, Sgt. Norm Zeh and Deputy Mike Williams. Assisting in the investigation were the Dansville Police Dept., the . Livingston County District Attorney's Office and the Criminal Investigations Division of the Niagara Falls Police Dept.
