GENESEO, NY — A presentation of findings on to improve traffic,. parking, safery and aesthetics along Geneseo’s Main St., Court St. and Lima road is planned for Oct. 20.
The purpose of the study is to develop and coordinate design and regulatory alternatives for vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle improvements such as traffic controls, sidewalks, crosswalks, landscaping, parking and roadway upgrades.
Recommendations from the study can be utilized by the Village and other local and state agencies to apply for grants and infrastructure funding.
The public meeting to present draft findings will be held at the Parish Center at 13 North Street in the Village.
Findings include results of a community survey, alternatives and recommendations for corridor improvements and potential funding sources to implement study recommendations.
Copies of the draft report will be available in the Village Hall and Library prior to the meeting. In addition, sections of the draft report will be on the village and town website.

It is so nice to have a nice soft place to sit and relax while I’m waiting for cars to go by.
What an INSANE waste of money. They serve ZERO purpose, and in relatively moderate pedestrian traffic conditions, wear out in less than a year so each sidewalk has a nice torn piece of rubber on it that no one takes care of.
Someone’s relative that runs the “Stupid Rubber Mat Company” somewhere is making millions of these simply ridiculous products.
