MOUNT MORRIS, NY — An 82-year-old woman died in a car accident near I-390 Exit 7 in Mount Morris Wednesday, police now confirm.

Mildred Caughel, 82, of Bath was dead at the scene when responders arrived. The driver, Carol Andrews, 62 was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries.

The car Andrews was driving left the road and became airborne down a steep ravine just after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
