AVON, NY — Avon Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will canvas the Town and Village of Avon for the 22nd annual Avon Scouting for Food Drive, on Saturday, Nov., 14 to pick up nonperishable food donations and replenish the Avon Food Pantry shelves for the winter and spring seasons.
Please place your food donation in a grocery bag, at your front door, porch or mailbox, for pick-up after 9 a.m., on Sat. Nov. 14. If by chance, no one picks up your donation on Saturday, please drop off your donation at any Avon Church, the Avon Post Office, or call 226-8505 to arrange pick up.
Nonperishable food items only: Canned meats, fish, vegetables, fruits, soups, stews, and coffee. Packaged dry macaroni and cheese, beans and rice, packaged cereal and oatmeal, canned powered milk, canned chili and pasta, packaged dry soups, pancake mixes and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, crackers and cake mixes, toothbrushes and paste, soap, shampoo and detergent, toilet paper and paper towels.
Please do not donate perishable items, frozen or fresh, refrigerated, dairy and no glass containers.
