The Livingston County Sheriff's Office continues its discovery of drug-related crime.
First, was Monday's arrest of three from Allegany County on heroin charges. Then two were arrested in Avon Wednesday afternoon on drug charges.
Deputy Thomas Dougherty stopped the vehicle that the two were in on South Lima Road in the Town of Avon for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
After investigation the operator of the vehicle, Randall E. Wall, 57 of Livonia was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument, and DWAI – Drugs. He was arraigned in the Town of Avon Court and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $2500.00 bail.
Passenger Jason M. DeFisher, 24 ,of Geneseo, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminal Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument. He was arrainged in the Town of Avon Court and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $1500 bail.
The two had purchased heroin in the City of Rochester and returned to Livingston County where they were apprehended. Deputy Martin Herkimer with Sheriffs K9 Oxo, Investigator Brian Applin, and Sgt Michael Dougherty assisted with investigation.
Meanwhile, two from Steuben County were arrested on felony drug charges Wednesday evening. Deputy Thomas Dougherty was checking the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, on Route 20A, in the Town of Geneseo, and located a suspicious vehicle. The two occupants were later identified as Cody M. Pfaff, 22, of Hornell, NY and Paul C. Jones Jr., 20, also of Hornell.
After investigation both were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (a Class B Felony.) Jones was in possession of 26 bags of heroin and Pfaff was in possession of 13 bags.
Pfaff was also charged with Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument. The heroin was purchased in the City of Rochester and the two were traveling back to Hornell to sell the drugs when they were located in the cemetery.
Both were arraigned in the Town of Geneseo Court and remanded to the Livingston County Jail with bail set at $7500. Deputy Bryan Mann and Sgt. Michael Dougherty assisted with the investigation.
