Health department plans H1N1 vaccine clinics

flumistThe Livingston County Department of Health has H1N1 vaccine available for the following priority groups only:

• Pregnant women 18+

• Caretakers and household contacts of those under six months old

• Individuals from 6 months through 24 years old

Adults 25 – 64 years of age with chronic medical conditions

• Healthcare workers and office staff of healthcare providers

• Seasonal flu vaccine is available for all individuals ages 6 months and older.

Flu clinics for the above will be on:

Dec. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Highway Department, Hampton Corners Gypsy Lane, Groveland.

Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Livingston County Department of Health, 2 Murray Hill Dr., Mount Morris

The H1N1 vaccine is available as an injection or a flu mist and is available at no cost.

The seasonal vaccine for adults will be billed to insurance. Seasonal vaccine is available to children under 19 and the uninsured at no cost.
