AVON/YORK — June Hammond Batzing passed away on January 5, 2010 at age 77.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Keith) Graves of Caledonia; son, Scott (Monica) Batzing of York; sister, Carol Laniak of Henrietta; grandchildren, Leah Batzing, Sarah (Brian) Cole, Amy Batzing; great-grandsons, Jacob, Logan; brother-in-law, Richard (Ruth) Batzing of Webster; sister-in-law, Jean Batzing of Avon; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl W. “Corky” Batzing.
Friends called Friday, Jan. 8 at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. Her Funeral Service was held Saturday, Jan. 9 at the Central Presbyterian Church in Avon. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Fowlerville. Memorials may be made to the York Volunteer Ambulance, the American Cancer Society or the Genesee Valley Conservancy.
