YORK — Joseph M. Copeland, 82, of York Road West in York, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet “Peanut” Copeland.
He is survived by his children, Steven Copeland of Mount Morris, Sandra Copeland of York, Dennis (Lynn) Copeland of York, Laurie (William) Peete of York; loving Papa to six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; also survived by his sister-in-law, Nina Copeland of York; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companion Mandy.
Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. where Funeral Services were held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Neil Frood of the York United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial with Military Honors was held in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
