SPRINGWATER, NY — Five adults and five children were left without a home Friday when a fire broke out in a multi-family dwelling around 1:30 p.m. in Springwater. Firefighters from Springwater, Wayland, Dansville, Sparta, Perkinsville, Conesus and Hemlock were on scene until 6 p.m. to put out the fire and make sure it didn’t rekindle. One firefighter suffered a leg injury during the initial attack, but there were no other injuries. The Clara Barton Chapter of the American Red Cross provided relief for the displaced families.
