The Chip Holt Nature Center, located in Vitale Park (Lakeville), connects minds to nature. The center offers interpretive and outdoor recreation programming to both the community and area schools for the stewardship of Conesus Lake and the ecosystem of the Finger Lakes.
During the recent village-hosted Neighborhood Meeting, Dansville residents were treated to two presentations and a discussion on how to achieve a healthier community. Lisa Beardsley, of the Livingston County Department of Health, spoke about the teen pregnancy rate in both Livingston County and more specifically, Dansville.
The second annual Springtime in Nunda will take place on Saturday, May 8. The event is sponsored by the Nunda Chamber of Commerce and Nunda Rotary.
Dansville residents attended a public hearing on April 20 regarding the consolidation study. During the meeting, the public was educated on the background of the project, introduced to town and village representatives on the consolidation committee, and provided a timeline for the entire process.
The Dansville Public Library is moving to the next stage of their expansion plan. The project will expand the library by 7,500 square-feet, add additional materials for borrowing, increase the number of computer stations, and include a meeting room (available for community use).
The Dansville Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a “Mix and Mingle” at Jack’s Place Gaslight Grill, 110 Main Street. The event, which is open to the public, will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 5-7 p.m.
Village Administrator Keith Petti and Trustee Andrew Kershner used the meeting as an opportunity to answer questions and update attendees on the town-village consolidation study.
